Today’s post will introduce Feng Shui. Each of the next nine weeks, Nidhi will discuss a different point on the feng shui bagwa.
Hectic Life, Family, Work, Travel, Pressure – all these and many more factors that can lead to chaos in your mind.
How many of you are striving to be more productive but just can’t get there? So many people feel work is equal to stress, unhappiness and fatigue. Slogging away at your desk, it doesn’t have to be so unpleasant. A simple solution is to turn your workspace into a place where you enjoy.
Sitting (also a great way to relieve the tension is to try some of the EvEx techniques…great way to get happy at work!).
I use the principles of feng shui and vasthu when I design a space and these proven laws can easily be applied to your table top.
The first solution is to try and adjust your desk so you are facing the entrance; if your back is to the door it can lend a energy of vulnerability. Sometimes that is not possible so to cure that is to place a beautiful mirror, a nature scene that inspires you, anything to make you feel more expansive. Having a image of a mountain scene behind you can also give you protection.
Avoid having a garbage can under the desk; if no other place for it make sure you get one with a lid.
Find your kua number and find a desk with a element compatible to you, a wood person fares better with a wooden desk, a metal person a steel desk, I am a earth person so wood or a desk painted green or yellow is good for me.
Do the best you can to be happy as you sit there; your attitude is key. The Curls and Curves exercise from EvEx will energize you and keep your endorphins up while at work. Creativity also flows when you are limber! Keep checking the EvEx blog. In the coming days we will focus on each of the 9 areas of the Feng Shui chart to help you clear your desk, your mind and make way for a new year full of flow and success.

Thank you so much for your incredibly wise insight. Most people never consider the energy around space where they work, so your advice is perfect!
